Beyond Real and Ideal: a Manshine Analysis
The Manshine match is a contest of juxtapositions: the real vs the ideal, mind vs body, independence vs cooperation, mortal vs god. Throughout the match, the manga presents the different Blue Lock characters - from Chris Prince to Noel Noa, Nagi Seishirou and Reo Mikage to Hyouma Chigiri, Michael Kaiser or Rensuke Kunigami - as paradigms of different values, each of which is justified in certain moments. And all this is framed around the central conflict between Yoichi Isagi and Kenyu Yukimiya. These oppositions are core to understanding the match's central point: the eye-opening experience that from different perspectives, everyone is a protagonist - and this is what sets Isagi, with his newfound Metavision, on the road to become the world's best striker.
