Collage glitter envelope

I’m super late on this (first Monday) but couldn’t skip this prompt, since I have this great use for the boring text blocks from magazines. Any text will do, and any magazine.
Materials: text from magazine pages, brown paper from packing paper or paper bag, gloss Mod Podge or similar adhesive in a jar, acrylic paint, glitter, and a brush.
Trim the text to desired blocks. I like to remove the margins and any photos. Cut or tear the brown paper into pieces about the size of a sheet of notebook paper (9” x 11”) which is large enough to make most envelopes. Brush adhesive on the brown paper, cover with text blocks, then allow to dry. Paint with acrylic paint, using inexpensive paint and a very wet brush so the application is sheer enough for text to peek through, then allow to dry. Mix about an ounce of Mod Podge with a sprinkle of glitter on a disposable palette (because glitter gets EVERYWHERE) and brush over entire surface, then allow to dry.
Use an envelope template (or carefully unfold an envelope to make a template), trace onto the brown paper side, and cut out the envelope shape. Assemble the envelope.
I used gloss Mod Podge, because that’s what I had, but I think it gives a nice look with the glitter. If you want a small amount of gloss Mod Podge, the price for 2 ounces at Dollar Tree is not bad on a per-ounce basis.
