Outdoor cucumbers, no pruning no support
Two cucumber plants across a 1.5m, 5ft bed. Silver Slicer and Tanya, sown mid-May, planted mid-June, had fleece over for two weeks.
No maintenance, just keep picking once they start.
They need summer afternoon temperatures averaging around 20 to 30°C, 70 to 85°F approximately. In cooler climates, they are not worthwhile and you're better to try the undercover, Cordon cucumbers, but even they require warmth, especially at night, over 12°C 54°F ideally.
