Summer Beans for Winter Food
Leave the pods unpicked! They swell with food for winter (the beans), and seeds to sow in spring.
Here are two types of bean, Czar runner beans for white seeds, and borlotti climbing bean for brown ones.
Harvest is before 10th October, when pods are mostly dry.
