For over 15 years, YIARI, alongside the BKSDA, has been at the forefront of orangutan conservation. With the support of people like you, they’ve assisted the BKSDA in rescuing 265 orangutans, 170 of which have been returned to the wild after a period of rehabilitation at YIARI’s rescue center.
Thanks to your support, their ambitious conservation and reforestation projects have thrived. They have planted 130,667 seedlings, established Indonesia's first all-female firefighting force to protect wildlife and forest communities, and provided education to hundreds of children.
However, none of this comes cheaply.
