Why run 5k when you can walk (or strut) it?
Join us for the Rainforest Run on September 22nd, a global event that invites you to run, walk, or jog 5k to help protect precious wildlife like Pumba, the peccary featured in this video! This very friendly creature was sadly kept as a pet, which made him very domesticated and comfortable around humans. We estimate he’s only about 4 or 5 months old!
Peccaries might look a bit porky, but believe it or not, they’re not pigs. Unlike pigs, which have curved tusks, peccaries like Pumba have sharp, straight tusks that point downwards. They are just one of the incredible species that make up the ecosystems we strive to protect.
So, come together with us on September 22nd for the Rainforest Run and make a difference for wildlife by running, walking, or jogging 5k! The money you raise will help us care for animals like Pumba as well as protect their forest habitats.
