Yes. Well we’re just doing some Additional Dialogue Recording for the ‘Kingdom of Honor’, it’s a new blockbuster feature.
Sounds great.
Ok. Well. We’re doing a big battle scene today and we just need some voices for all the warriors in the army.
Right,…
So in this scene, the Hero is about to lead his army in to battle against the villain of the piece.
Ooh.
You are outnumbered and probably all going to die,
Oh No.
but he gives this big rousing speech and you all cheer. So I just need you to cheer at the end of the speech.
Got it.
Ok here we go.
Today we fight as Men. And if any man asks, he will be able to say I was there on that day, and I stood tall, side by my side with my brothers in arms. If any man wishes not to fight this day, let him leave.
Oh, so I can leave then? It’s just I’ve got, you know, wife and kids back home and everything. Don’t really feel up for a fight. Got a bit of a gimpy leg if you know what I mean?
What are you doing?Well, you know? I don’t really fancy fighting. I’m not much of a fighter. I thought this was a voice recording.
No. That’s not the point.
Oh, sorry.
Ok, look. In this next part you’re all marching off to the war. You’ve already decided to fight. You’re somber, but determined.
Right.

They might want a little cheering up.
Look please, can you just stick to what I’m asking?Ofcourse, anything you say, boss.Right. Well maybe, this one. The battle is starting, you’re part of the cavalry now. You’re on horseback and you’re all charging in to the battle. Here we go.
Woah, stop! You’re going the wrong way! You’re going the wrong way! I don’t want to go that way? I want to go back this way!
What are you doing?Well! That horse was leading me to certain death, I was trying to get it to turn around. It looks really dangerous.
Oh my god. Are you an idiot?
I don’t think so.
Ok, maybe something more simple.I like that.You see these two warriors fighting in the background of this shot?Yeah.You’re the big, strong, fierce one attacking the other.
Well, that’s a bit mean.
Pardon?Well, there’s no need for that is there?It’s a battle!
