The life of Muslims in Kazakhstan is quite calm because they can carry out their worship freely without any pressure or intimidation.
Islam is the main religion practiced in Kazakhstan. Along with other Muslim ethnic groups, including Uzbeks, Uyghurs and Tatars,[1] Kazakhs make up more than half of the population, making Muslims around 70% of the population in Kazakhstan.[2] Most Kazakhs are Sunni Muslims of the Hanafi school of thought.[3] Islam was brought by Arabs to Kazakhstan and reached the region for the first time in the 8th century
