The Sony A7IV is not the newest camera on the market, but if you already live in the Sony Mirrorless ecosystem and you have something older like A7SII or A7III you might want to upgrade. Right away, I can tell you, that this is pretty great camera. But it is not for everyone and it has one really big deal breaker in my opinion. While some people (like me) are ok with this flaw, other people will not buy the Sony A7IV because of it.
What will you find in this video review? First, I will show you how good is the image quality. The oversampled 4K image in 24p / 25p and also in 50p / 60p is really nice and sharp. I will also show you the low light performance, which was the biggest surprise to me. Thanks to the dual native ISO in S-Log3 you can shoot really clean low light footage. Judge for yourself and watch the ISO / Low light test in the video. Last, but not least I am talking about who is the Sony A7IV for. Should you buy it, or should you get something else? Is the biggest downside of the A7IV a deal breaker for you, or is it something you can live with? Do pros outweigh cons?
