Is it possible to be nice while staying professional in today's world? We discuss it today!
If you are a people pleaser or a "nice" person the line between being nice and being walked over can be pretty fine. But I don't think we should conflate "nice" with "weak." You can be a kind professional. Mike Janda is a great example - no one would call him weak or a doormat, but he is a very nice, professional guy.
Or think of bosses - the best kind of boss is the one who is both nice/kind and professional. They exist!
You can do both. You can be both professional (including being firm!) and nice to clients. In fact, they will respect you all the more for being firm AND kind.
