Fire Rips Through Westhampton Beach Commercial Block
10.25.24 | by Chris | WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY - At 5:30 AM, Westhampton Beach FD responded to a report of a commercial structure fire located at 116 Main Street, in the center of the upscale Hamptons village. Fire gutted a row of apartments on the second and third floors of the structure. The first floor of the structure, which sustained water and smoke damage, is occupied by a row of retail businesses. One individual was transported to an area hospital for smoke inhalation. The fire was brought under control just after 8:00 AM. Mutual aid was provided by East Quogue, Riverhead, and Hampton Bays Fire Departments. Southampton Town Fire Marshals are investigating the cause of the blaze.
