Two Dead in Plane Crash at LI MacArthur Airport
7.22.24 | by Chris | RONKONKOMA, NY - At approximately 6:15pm, a single engine plane crashed with two adult males on board after departing Long Island MacArthur Airport. Shortly after takeoff the pilot quickly attempted to return to the field, when it crashed just short of Runway 6. Both men on board were killed in the crash. According to authorities, the FAA was at the crash site and the NTSB was en route. The crash caused disruptions to airport operations. The flight plan and identities of the two victims are being withheld pending proper notification.
