How to stop someone posting to your Facebook timeline.
HI Paul here from PRwilson Media. Now say it's your birthday and Facebook has told all your friends and they all post to your timeline - it can get a bit annoying, so if you want to know how you can turn off the ability for your friends to post to your Facebook personal profile here's how it's done.
So I'm logged in to this Facebook account and I've got a mesage here from my good friend Paul. I could choose to simply hide that particular message from my timeline so that not everybody has to see it Or I could even delete it completely .But if we take a look at your settings you can stop anyone being able to post to your timeline in the first place. What you do is you go to the drop down here on the right hand side , select settings , select timeline and tagging and right at the top there , who can post on your timeline? So I click edit , the standard is friends , but I can change it to only me , then close. Now nobody can post to my timeline . And just to see how that looks to a Facebook user let's go back to this profile . So previously I'd been able to post there however now there's nowhere they can post to anymore. Whereas I could go to a different friends profile and see there is an area where I can write something to that person.
So you can turn it off , probably good for any Facebook profile where you are really more about your Facebook page , you don't necessarily want to be active personally on Facebook so it's a good idea to restrict things by turning off the ability for others to post to your personal page .So that's it from me, I'm Paul from PRwilson Media your social media personal trainer.
