How to disable the message button on a Facebook page
Hi Paul here from PRwilson Media. Now if you have an active Facebook page it's great to give your audience the option to message you directly. To get in touch with an enquiry. But what if the page isn't really that active any more. You don't necessarily want that engagement on a regular basis. You want to remove the send message option. Here's how it's done.
So you go to the page and you'll see the admin options including settings. You click on settings and you can see people can contact my page privately under messages. Simply click there and the check box is ticked. Allow people to contact my page privately by showing the message button. Simply de-select that click save changes and we can now check how that looks to a visitor to the page. So we'll click on the 3 dots and I'll say view as page visitor. Unlike before where there was a send message option, that's no longer there. So that's how you can turn off the send message button on your Facebook page. That's it from me, if you want some more Facebook tips do take a look at my playlist here on YouTube, Facebook videos and also other playlists I've got on Twitter, LinkedIn and social media in general. All free, well over 150 now available to you. Do subscribe to my YouTube channel and let me know in the comments below, any particular topics you want me to cover in a future video. That's it from me, I'm Paul from PRwilon media your social media personal trainer. Cheers.
