How to edit your Facebook birthday settings to contol who can see your birthday information in you personal profile on Facebook.

Hi, it's Paul here from PRwilson Media, your social media personal trainer. And this is an interesting one. On Facebook, your birthday settings are one of the first things you put in when you register on Facebook with a pesonal account.
Now some people don't realize that when they put that in, that information by default is public. So what you've got to do is change your settings so that you restrict who's allowed to see it. Maybe just your friends , because sometimes people like to have their birthday greetings on Facebook. But possibly just to yourself , just private because obviously there could be issues with birthdates being public and people being able to access them and all of that sort of thing.
Anyway, let's crack on, here we go....
So here we are logged into a personal profile account and you've got two options. You can go to update info, or just click here as I've done on About. You just scroll down and under contact and basic info you click there. And you can see basic information. Date of Birth , year of birth.
So you can choose to have the birth day available to say your friends or to public, but the actual birthdate, the year , that's visible to only you. And then once you have finished how it's displayed you can click save changes.
And one of the things I do is generally speaking I don't have the birthday displayed but close to my birthday I do tend to switch it on so I get a few greetings from around the world. Anyway that's it from me for today, I just wanted to do an updated video for 2017 on this Facebook birthday settings. Bear in mind that everything that you put on to Facebook should be treated with caution and always look at your settings to see if you can lock down things until you are comfortable.
