Healthy, Super Crunchy Dog Biscuits
These super easy homemade dog biscuits are also an incredibly healthy option for your beloved dog.
I mentioned my dog had gut issues and I am supporting her healing with this product. I am also taking it. All of us would benefit from the restoration of healthy bacteria in our guts.

These dog treats are gluten-free, and dairy-free, plus they are made without these other harmful ingredients; legume, soy, corn or corn syrup, canola or other unhealthy oils, sweeteners, glycerin, carrageenan, preservatives, and artificial ingredients of any kind.
Dog Treat Recipe
3/4 cp oat flour, made from whole (not quick) oats by pulverizing
3/4 cp coconut flour
6 oz steamed sweet potato
2 oz cooked grass-fed beef liver. Or 8oz of sweet potato if you cannot source quality liver.
2-3 T flaxseed, chia or other nutritious seeds
Water, I have used as little as 2 T - 6 T
Instructions
~ Preheat oven to 235 -250
~ If using whole oat you will need to pulverize into flour first
~ Add the coconut flour, sweet potato, beef liver, and optional seeds.
~ Blend until liver is barely visible
~ Add water, a tablespoon at a time, blend, check, add more until dough holds together well.
~ Roll out between 2 sheets of parchment paper to a thickness between 3/16"
~ Cut into squares or use a bone cookie cutter
~ Use the parchment to line 1 or 2 baking sheets. Add the cut dough. No need to be concerned about spacing.
~ Place cookie sheets in the preheated oven. Higher temps and shorter baking times can be used for a less crunchy treat.
~ For a super crunchy treat bake at the lower temperature for 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. Checking frequently so treats don't get too brown. Should remain golden in color. Lower your temperature if they are getting too dark.
Allow to cool, seal in a glass jar or bag. Keeps for at least 2 months if baked to fully dry.
