Dr. Carl Ostergren: Offering sedation for our patients has really revolutionized how patients are able to get their dental work done. We offer sedation for just about any procedure. It's not just for implants or surgeries. So your comfort at our office is our number one priority. Our office offers a variety of sedation options ranging from nitrous to general anesthesia. Nitrous is a very mild form of sedation. It takes the edge off, is what I typically tell patients. Makes you relax. For patients that need a little extra help, we offer IV sedation. It's a little bit more in the middle. So, you're just much more relaxed.
Most of the time patients don't remember anything and it's a wonderful experience for patients that are more anxious. For our larger procedures or for patients that absolutely need to be put under, we hire an anesthesiologist and are able to put patients under general anesthesia with sedation and all the amenities we have to make you comfortable. Our goal is to make sure that your experience here is as pleasant as possible. So it helps them come back for their routine cleanings and checkups and really alleviates their fear of general dentistry. We offer complimentary consultations.
