If you're a patient and you're looking for a provider you can trust, you shouldn't be afraid to go and ask the provider, "Hey, doctor, how many implants have you placed? Can you show me some cases that you've done that are similar to what I need?" That's what I want for myself. So make sure that the doctor's competent in what he's going to do for me. And so, the doctor should have zero hesitation in showing you his portfolio.
Another question you can ask a provider is what kind of technologies they use, because with proper planning, with the most up-to-date technology with the 3D X-ray and then digital scanner, it allows the provider to go in do the procedure in the most accurate way and give you the best result.
Ask them where the restoration's being fabricated. We have our own milling system. It allows us to go and fabricate your restoration in-house, which means that it'll be faster and we save our cost on our fabrication. We can then pass on the cost savings to you, the patient.
Do they offer financing options? Some places don't offer financing options. At Pacific Northwest Dental Center, we have a variety of financing options. We work with multiple third-party lending companies that can give you different payment options so that, ultimately, the budget makes sense for you.
Another thing you should look for is when you're talking to your potential doctor is, are they listening to you? Are they hearing your concerns? Are they offering you more than one option? Our job is to show you and educate you on different choices so that you ultimately make an informed decision.
