This simple trick will teach you how to quickly download any type of content from Instagram, whether it’s a post, a Reel, an image, or a video.
Despite Instagram’s efforts to protect original content, images and videos posted on the social network owned by Meta can easily be downloaded by any user.
In essence, all you need to do is copy the link of the Instagram post and paste it into a specialized website for Instagram downloads.
For the purpose, we will use snapinsta.app, but there are many other websites that offer the same functionality. The instructions provided here are for iPhones, but the basic principles apply to other devices as well.
Step-by-step guide to downloading images and videos from Instagram:
First, you need to copy the link of the post whose content you want to download.
To do this, tap the share button (which looks like an arrow) below the post. Then, tap the “Copy link” button.
The second step is to paste the link on snapinsta.app. So, open this website in your preferred browser and paste the link there, then press the “Download” button.
After a few seconds (and some ads that you may need to close), the website will display the content retrieved from Instagram. Now, click the “Download Photo” button (or video, as applicable).
Confirm the download when prompted by your browser.
Finally, if you’re doing this on an iPhone, you need to save the downloaded content to the Photos app for easy access later on.
To do this, tap the “Aa” button in the address bar of the Safari web browser and select the “Downloads” option.
Once in the Downloads section, access the downloaded file and choose “Save to Photos” or tap the share button and select the “Save video” option.
