Amazing Glass Ice Violin: Latin Jazz
Testing my New Ted Brewer's Vivo Ice. A (Perspex) glass acrylic Violin with a little Latin Music from YouTube. This was not intended to be a professional video, Just a quick test and my first impression of Ted's beautiful instrument.
This is obviously, an unedited version with a few transitions added here and there, and all done on my phone. The new 4K Ultra video editor, by Cyberlink, "Power Director" allowed me to record and to edit my 4K videos on one of my Samsung Galaxy Notes. "Guantanamera" was podcasting on the radio at the time.Not a perfect sounding video, but everything was recorded and edited in one of my mobile Samsung Galaxy Notes with Cyberlink Power Director. It was recorded on 4K Ultra and edited on my cellphone.
I believe this is the only mobile editor that can do 4K right now.
Creating a violin with wood it's challenging enough. Wood has a natural resonance properties but it's not easy to conquer. It has inspired craftsmen throughout the ages and they have created amazing musical instruments.
Glass and Acrylic in the other hand, are not as organic as wood and can be even more challenging. For Ted Brewer, of London, it has been undoubtedly an adventure that paid off.
I was lucky to get my hands on one of his creations. At first, I wasn't too happy because it looked a little too pink, but I love the sound it produced and of course, the electronics. I am a scientist, who loves music, more specifically, the violin. When I was 14 year-old I was lucky that one of my teacher owned a Stradivarius violin he purchased from from a sailor for a few dollars. He didn't know it was a genuine Strad at the time and let me played with it for a year. Later, it was authenticated by the Hill Co and the rest is history.
