08.03.13 3rd FLPHG Flight
Interesting 3rd flight. Little dip on the take off, but in control despite the conditions. Switching down the runway between 10-15, the wind was probably too intense for my skill level. Launched at 3:30 instead of the previous flight which was 6:30 pm. There is a cool, steady, marine layer above 800' but getting in and out of the good stuff can be tricky. I bungled the landing again, this time for too much flare in turbulent conditions.
No harm. No foul. No damage done to glider, WASP powered harness, or Pilot. Just a bad whack.
You'll notice that I am leaving all the embarrassing moments, for the most part, intact. I am doing this so that others might help me learn from my mistakes, and help others not to make the same ones. I was excited to have radio communication in this video with, Kurt Bainum who has been helping me with my first FLPHG flights.
