07.21.13 First Flight FLPHG First Flight WASP
07.21.13 First flight in my WASP FLPHG harness. Wind 10-15mph blowing straight down the runway. As you can see, I was off the ground in only a handful of steps, and my instructor saw that the nose angle was too high. The angle of attack remained too high for the duration of the flight which could be described as mostly terrifying. I tried going into prone several times but felt very uncomfortable and even more out of control. This is obviously a muscle memory issue from Free flight. I was very impressed with the amount of power that the harness provided and how quickly I was off the ground. Again, this is where I made my first mistake. Mushing into the air is not flying... really.
This is my first flight on the Powered Harness and I hope to learn from the community.
