There are 5 Common antipatterns in OKR strategy and implementation.
1. OKRs are imposed and mandated. This is the top-down approach through command and control
2. OKRs are cascaded - This is again Top Management driven approach. This doesn't create the culture of OKR mindset
3. Rushing through the Objective definition phase and not defining them well
4. Treating OKRs as a one-time event rather than making it an ongoing activity
5. Falling in love with current OKRs and never updating them
These are very common antipatterns in OKRs and should be avoided
1. OKRs should not be imposed, rather they should be embedded as the mindset
2. OKRs should not be cascaded but they should be aligned among the teams through transparency and discussion
3. Good amount of time should be spent on defining the Objectives
4. It should be ongoing and living activity.
5. Dont keep OKRs rigid. They should be inspected and adapted regularly
