Tarehe Sita, which translates to the 6th of February, marks the day in 1981 when the National Resistance Army (NRA), led by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, launched an armed struggle that eventually led to the liberation of Uganda. Each year, the UPDF commemorates this historic day by engaging in community service across the country. This year the official celebration will be held in Masaka District. –Ends-
