It involves a weak proxy to launch Murray up to the flashlight guard. It only launches him when he turned slightly since Murray's collision box or whatever you want to call it seems to be uneven and not a perfect shape like a cylinder. The space he was in no longer wanted him to be in there when he turned because of that, so it forced him up and out. At least that's how I think it works. I don't have a debug mode that shows me hitboxes and stuff like that.
