Disco Demolition 0x X Presses
Thanks for stopping by! This video is about completing the job Disco Demolition without using the X button to jump. This is a TAS; this was done using save-states, and the final product was made by splicing the successful attempts together to make for a seamless viewing experience.

This one was rough to record.
Going into it I had a completely different strategy to get to the job marker, using two bombs and a guard lure at the other side of the map with the two boats. But not only did I forget the exact strat I came up with, it turns out that Bentley can't survive more than one of his bombs without health pickups, at least in the first episode.
So I had to come up with something completely new with one bomb or less. I had observed earlier that if I were on the building overlooking the fence, Bentley could be hit by a guard and get over the fence that way, but I had no way of getting up there. Eventually I figured out two potential options: getting onto the car via guard luring and using only one bomb to launch Bentley onto the lowest bounce pad, or the very weak proxy situated just below it.
I chose to grind the former option first for a solution, which is also why I destroyed that money briefcase. I tested beforehand that even if I got up there with a bomb, none of the guards would give me a health pickup if I killed them once I got up there, which I needed to survive another hit. Breaking the money briefcase allowed one of the guards to give me a health pickup without killing them all.
Unfortunately I ended up wasting my time because the maximum height and distance I could get from a bomb couldn't get me up there. So I banged my head on the wall with the very weak proxy to see it would work and it eventually did.
After I got up there I almost blew it by getting hit by the rat before I saved a save-state and almost fell off. Luckily I didn't and actually got over the fence first try. From there the rest of the job was trivial.
