The Acceleration of Geared System Unit, "MAE," is a device that utilizes a three-axis gear train to transmit rotational movement. This unit is essential for studying how movement is transmitted from a power source, such as a motor, to another shaft that performs a specific task.
The primary goal of the Gear System Acceleration Unit is to measure the moment of inertia and the acceleration of the gear system. It features six gears, with the ability to change the position of two of them to vary the transmission ratio and, consequently, the system's acceleration. It also includes three inertia masses, one per axis, to modify the total moment of inertia.
