GIMP Pencil Drawing Effect

5 Steps to make a pencil drawing in GIMP:
1. Duplicate Layer.
Use Layer- Duplicate Layer (or Shift+Ctrl+D).
Change its blend mode to Dodge.
2. Invert Color.
Use Colors-Invert.
3. Apply Value Propagate Filter.
Use Filters-Distorts-Value Propagate.
In the “Value Propagate” pop-up window, select the “More black (smaller value)” radio button.
Click OK.
4. Repeat Step 3 Until You're Happy with the result.
Try applying the value propagate filter again for two or three times.
Use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + F to repeat the last step.
5. Desaturate Both Layer.
Use Colors-Desaturate-Desaturate.
In the dialog box, you can just leave the default settings and click OK.
