1. Open the photo into Photoshop and create a new layer.
Open the Photoshop application, select the File-Open menu, select your photo then click the Open button. Duplicate the layer if you want to back up your photo by pressing the keyboard key Ctrl+J or the Layer-Duplicate Layer menu. Remove the visibility option of the Background layer. We will work using the Background copy layer. Next, create a new layer by selecting the Layer-New Layer menu or you can also use the keyboard shortcut Shift+Ctrl+N.
2. Select the Rectangular Marquee Tool.
Click the Rectangular Marquee Tool icon. In the option bar, click the Add to selection icon.
3. Make a selection with the shape of the photo frame.
With Layer 1 active, click on the photo then drag to form a selection with a photo frame shape. Then make a second selection inside the first selection box. Next, fill the selection area with white by selecting the Edit-Fill menu. In the fill box, click the Use dropdown, select white then click the OK button. Now you have a frame with a white border. Press Ctrl+D to remove the selection.
4. Give the Layer Style a Bevel or Drop Shadow.
Select menu Layer-Layer Style-Blending Options. Please check Bevel & Emboss then click the OK button.
5. Set the frame position with Free Transform.
Use Free Transform by pressing the keyboard key Ctrl+T or selecting the Edit-Free Transform menu. Use the mouse to adjust the Free Transform box. Press Enter when you are satisfied with setting the position of your frame.
6. Duplicate the Frame Layer Then Arrange It With Free Transform.
Duplicate the layer by pressing Ctrl+J or selecting the Layer-New-Layer via copy menu. Use Free Transform to arrange the frames.
7. Erase the inside of the frame with the Eraser Tool.
Click the Eraser Tool icon. To make deletion easier, you can deactivate the visibility option for all frame layers, then activate them one by one while deleting them.
8. Create a Selection and Layer Mask.
Make sure the Background layer is active. Create a selection using the Polygonal Lasso Tool around all the frames then create a layer mask by selecting Layer-Layer Mask-Reveal Selection.
9. Add Background Photo.
Select the File-Open menu to open the background photo. Then select the Select-All menu, then the Edit-Copy menu. Go back to our photo frame then select the Edit-Paste menu. Please adjust the size and position using Free Transform.
