Praise Him with timbrel and dance, praise Him with strings and flute
Every member of Your holy body endured dishonor for us. Your head endured the thorns. Your face was spat on. Your cheeks received the blows. Your mouth tasted vinegar mingled with gall. Your ears heard impious blasphemies. Your back received the scourging. Your hand held the reed. Your entire body was stretched on the Cross. Your joints were pierced by the nails, and Your side, by the spear. O almighty Savior, who endured Your Passion for us and freed us from the passions, who in Your love for humanity condescended to us and then exalted us, have mercy on us.
استيخن: سبِّحوه بالطبل والمصاف، سبِّحوه بالأوتار وآلات الطرب.
أيّها المخلص، إن كلَّ عضوٍ من أعضاءِ جسدِك المقدس كابدَ إهانةً من أجلنا، فالهامةُ بالشوكِ، والوجهُ بالبِصاق، والخدّانِ باللّطمات، والفمُ بمذاقةِ الخلِّ الممزوجِ بمرارة، والأذنانِ بالتجديفِ المفعمِ بالإلحاد، والظهرُ بالسياط، واليدُ بالقصبة، وتمديدُ الجسمِ بالصلب، والأطرافُ بالمسامير، والجنبُ بالحربة. فيا من تألّم من أجلِنا وأعتقَنا من الآلام، وتنازلَ إلينا، ورفعَنا بمحبّتِه للبشر، أيّها القادرُ على كلِّ شيءٍ ارحمنا.
