Peafowls
Peafowls refer to any of three bird species in the pheasant family, the Indian peafowl, the green peafowl and the Congo peafowl. Though commonly called peacocks, the proper name for all sexes of this bird is peafowls. A male peafowl is technically called a peacock, a female is called a peahen, and their young are called peachicks. When these animals are mentioned, the image that comes to the mind of most people is that of the Indian peacock with its gloriously decorated iridescent train. However, only peacocks have these extravagant trains; the plumage of the peahen is not as lavishly decorated.
