You've got your assignment, which patient do you see first? Which one do you service first? Which one do you plan on taking the most time? Which one is going to be your "problem child"?!
There are a bunch of basic nursing skills that we all, as nurses, will be expected to master (to some degree) before we're let loose onto the unit by ourselves. Think teenagers about to drive on their own. Scary but necessary.
