Nose hair is a natural part of the human body that serves as a defense system. Nose hair keeps harmful debris out of the body system and maintains moisture in the air we breathe. Doctors do not recommend waxing or pulling the nose hair out because pulling out individual hairs can lead to ingrown hairs and infection. Waxing, especially, could hurt the skin deep inside your nose. Addition to these points, there is one more conflict point from the doctor’s side, saying that nasal hairs filter the air we breathe and therefore protect us from infection by airborne viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens. But many modern doctors disagree to that and claim there is no connection between trimming or waxing of nose hair to any risk of respiratory infections like corona infection.
