NEW ARTIFICIAL PANCREASE FOR TYPE 2 DIABETES | ALTERNATIVE TO AN INSULIN INJECTION| ENGLISH
An artificial pancreas could soon help people living with type 2 diabetes and who also require kidney dialysis. Tests led by the University of Cambridge showed that the device can help patients safely and effectively manage their blood sugar levels and reduce the risk of low blood sugar levels.
Diabetes is the most common cause of kidney failure, accounting for 30% of cases. As the number of people living with type 2 diabetes increases, it simultaneously increases the number of people requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant and maintaining glucose levels by using standard insulin injection is quiet difficult too.
