We all face giants in life - problems so big they feel impossible to overcome. Fear, anxiety, stress and sickness can leave us feeling helpless and overwhelmed. But the good news is, we don’t have to face them alone.

In 1 Samuel 17, when David stood before Goliath the giant, he didn’t rely on his own strength. He boldly said to Goliath the Philistine, “Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee…And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD’s, and He will give you into our hands.” (1 Samuel 17:45-47)

David knew something we often forget: when we put our trust in God, we are not fighting for victory - we’re fighting from victory. The outcome doesn’t depend on our power, but on God's. No problem is too big for God. The same God who created the universe, parted the Red Sea, and raised Jesus from the dead is with you right now. Your fears may look like giants, but to God, they’re nothing. He sees the full picture, and He is able to work all things for your good - even the things that scare you the most.

When we surrender our battles to Him, we find peace. That doesn’t always mean our problems disappear right away, but it does mean we don’t have to carry them alone. God fights for us. He strengthens us. And He walks with us every step of the way.
So whatever you’re facing today - whatever feels too big, too hard, too far gone - bring it to God in prayer. Trust that He’s bigger than your biggest fear, stronger than your toughest battle, and faithful to the end. With Him, no giant stands a chance.

“Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you…fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.” (2 Chronicles 20:17)
