Year 2417. Central Point, capital of the galaxy. A dangerous smuggler named Zag Mordan is about to be put on trial, and Valerian is the main witness for the prosecution. To keep him from talking, Mordan’s accomplices kidnap Valerian and proceed to erase and reprogram his memory. Then, to make sure no one finds him, Mordan’s men abandon him on a deserted asteroid with nothing but a holographic image of an imaginary and reconstituted Paris. Will Laureline succeed in helping Valerian get his memory back and bring him back to Central Point in time to testify against Zag?
