Year 2417. The Earth disappeared nearly 400 years ago, and Valerian and Laureline may very well be the only two earthlings in the galaxy. It is now a full-fledged war between the Vlagos forces and the freedom fighters. Valerian and Laureline run into the mysterious Mr. Albert that has been observing them throughout time and space, and who seems to be able to be able to transport himself at will...Our two heroes go back to the past and discover that the Earth didn’t actually disappear. The blue planet was only teleported and hidden away elsewhere! They then travel to the future and find that the hidden Earth is now a totalitarian regime ruled by the despotic Raymond of Tancarville. Valerian and Laureline are faced with a difficult decision: should they go back to 2417 and continue to fight the Vlagos, or stay in the 27th century and free the Earth from tyranny?
