Year 2417. Valerian and Laureline are the only two Earthlings in the entire galaxy. They set off in search of the Universal Knowledge which is in one of the many temples of the planet Maya...But when they set foot on the planet, strange phenomena begin to occur: it seems the landscape changes according to the mood of our two heroes...So beware of negative emotions such as anger or fear!...And beware of the scheming Vlagos! A battalion of them, led by the loathsome Gork Yodol, followed them onto the planet, determined to get their hands on the Universal Knowledge to conquer the Galaxy!
