Negative number plus a positive -easy to understand- adding integers
When adding positive and negative numbers, Think Money
If the positive number is bigger, then you have more than what you owe, therefore your answer will be positive. Subtract the numbers, done.
However:
If the negative number is bigger, then you owe more than what you have, therefore your answer will be negative. Subtract the numbers to find the amount you owe. Remember that this value will be negative.
