Exponential Functions have the form: y = a * b^x, y = a (b)^x.
Where a is the start/initial amount, b is the growth/decay factor, and x is the number of growths or decays.

For a percent increase, the growth rate is 1 + the increase.
Example: for a 25% increase, the growth rate is 1 + .25 = 1.25

For a percent decrease, the decay rate is 1 - the decrease.
Example: for a 25% decrease, the decay rate is 1 - .25 = 0.75

Exponential Functions are used when the function outputs are multiplied by the same amount.
