Aliens vs Predator Classic Mapping Stream #7 Part 1 (1 hr, No Commentary)
Working on a remake of my old multiplayer map that I released almost 25 years ago.
This session got unexpectedly interrupted an hour in. I'm not sure what happened, because I looked over at the stream time at some point and saw that it only said I'd been up for 5 minutes. Longest 5 minutes of my life if that were true.
Fortunately the stream had not only restarted on its own, but also almost immediately so nothing really gets missed.
In this stream I retopologize the Marine APC model. I was previously using a shape rif prop I had made but have since learned that larger more complex models like vehicles should typically be made into level geometry objects known as "modules". In order to do that I need to import it as part of the map file. Since I wanted to change some things about the APC I figured I may as well just re-do the whole thing and figure out a process for using prefabbed modules.
This part of the stream is just me fixing the APC mesh, then appending it to the map.
