Why today? Why upload this video today, October 16th, 2024?
We've done it because it's a very telling anniversary ― the 469th of the burning of the martyrs Latimer and Ridley by the Catholic Queen of England, Mary 1st (often referred to as "Bloody Mary"). These executions were the fruit of the form of government known as theocracy, where the church, in control of the state, inevitably seeks to: (a) define and (b) punish heresy.
Heresy? Well, what did these men do (or believe) that warranted killing them?
We went on-line to Encyclopedia Britannica for answers. Here's what we found:
"Ridley came to be suspected of heresy ― he denied the doctrine of transubstantiation — that Christ’s natural body is present in the bread of the Eucharist after consecration … Ridley and another Protestant noble, Hugh Latimer, both of whom had refused to recant, were burned at the stake in October 1555."
Neither murderers, robbers nor extortioners, the only crime of these churchmen was that of being of a religious faith different from the queen's.
When the Pilgrims fled England (first to Amsterdam in 1608, then finally to America aboard the Mayflower in 1620), they were fleeing a different regime. Still a theocracy, instead of Catholic leaders this one featured scribes and Pharisees of the Protestant persuasion. In it, dissenters, not from the Vatican, but from the Church of England this time, faced fines and imprisonment ... and possibly worse.
Bottom line, whatever its flavor, whatever its theological underpinnings ― be it Catholic, Protestant, or Moslem ― theocracy is risky business. Why then is America flirting with it?
― Have MAGA members ever really considered where their footsteps are tending?
― How many know that an American theocracy has been predicted in the Bible?
Where in the Bible?
Watch and see.
This video was produced with MAGA members in mind, in the fond hope that it might open the eyes of millions of honest, Bible believing Christians, who, seeking decency over decadence (and skillfully stirred to fever pitch now) are passionately determined to put the church in control of the state in America.
Trouble is, do they ― can they ― even remotely fathom the oceans of blood the Bible predicts they’ll spill?
