08. Setting Up GUI Login on FreeBSD 14.1-RELEASE: Display Manager Installation
There are many display managers in FreeBSD such as slim, xdm. gdm, sddm and etc. But I preferred KDE Plasma display manager SDDM to be install as a display manager.
SDDM is a modern display manager for X11 and Wayland sessions aiming to be fast, simple and beautiful. It uses modern technologies like QtQuick, which in turn gives the designer the ability to create smooth, animated user interfaces.
Just install SDDM and enable it to be up on next boot.
