Discover force feedback with Iris Dynamics on the second day of Automate 2024! Our Weight & Position Demonstration with 3 modes showcasing 3 distinct features - Orca Motor positioning, force sensing and force linking. Today we’re demonstrating the first application feature, sensed position, which highlights the motor’s sensing capabilities and low-latency communication.
This first application displays the sensed position of the motor shaft, with one end of the shaft affixed to a pair of calipers. The readout of the motor position from the demo can be compared to the readout of the calipers to demonstrate precision. The motors can then be looped through configurable motions, or be commanded to go to a certain position.
