Discover force feedback with Iris Dynamics on the final day of Automate 2024!
The second application of our Weight & Position demo displays the force sensing ability of our Orca Motors. In this demo the motor has been set to maintain a particular shaft position. Force can then be applied to the shaft, and the monitor displays in kilograms how much force the motor is sensing.
In the third and final application we present to you force linking of the two motors. As if they were mechanically linked, the motors match each other’s position through digital communications. The demonstration’s monitor shows a slider which can be moved to give one motor an advantage over the other. Finally, this demo features a toggle allowing the force linkage to be inverted causing the motors to hold their shafts at opposite positions from one another.
