Dowlings, Inc
Dowlings was located at 2 & Broadway during nd the late 1940s but moved to 607-611 W. Grand in 1953. At some point in the 1960s, it moved to its final location at 3017 N Stiles, north of the State Capitol Building. During its existence, business was a major supplier of school equipment (desks, chairs, etc.) as well as Apple Computers and children's educational toys. The business closed in 1988 and bankruptcy was filed in 1989.
