Eckhardt Volkswagon, Audi, and Porshe - pt. 2
Eckhardt Motors, Inc., incorporated in 1960 and initially sold Volkswagens at it 1501 N Broadway location. Porsche and Audi were added by 1970. The Volkswagen operation moved to 1515 Northwest Expressway (west of Horn's) in 1973 but used its Broadway location to sell Porsche and Audi automobiles at least through 1976. The VW ads are among the most engaging in the collection. Eckhardt closed its Northwest Expressway operation in 1981.
