Supplies:
Paint, Red, White, Blue, Black and Yellow
Paper or Canvas
Large Squared Brush
Small Pointed Brushes
Water and Paper Towel
Pencil
(Optional) Sponge and Carbon Paper
Steps:
-We create a beautiful sky layer first by mixing White and Blue
-The clouds are layered on top. The clouds are made into a pattern of Red and White rows
-We then add the stars and a firework using White and Yellow
-Finally we create a Foreground detail to be painted in Black
We learn techniques in how to mix colors wet-in-wet on the painting.
We learn how to create a variety of visual textures by contrasting the smoothness fo the sky, with the softness of the clouds and the flatness of the silhouette.
We learn how to transfer drawings to our painting.
