Monkey Face Red Chilli Test
Monkey Face Red, an annuum variety from Peru, grown these for a few years now, there is also a yellow version, great looking plants and cool looking pods, thought would habe a crack at them and see what they are like
Stocky plants, a pretty good producer ours is around 60 cm tall but they can get bigger, big pods that start off green, get to around 10cm (4 inches) long and about 5cm (2 inches) wide and ripen red.

How Hot is It?
Very crispy, medium thick walls, sweetish with a slight capsicum flavour, the flavour stays for a while
Hits pretty quick basically as bit into it in the back of the throat then the burn moved to the sides as moved forward, upper mid heat, it’s a different type of burn, stingy but also deep, it radiates a bit, it was still going at a mid heat level even after the break so has a decent burn
All round great plant, grows pretty easily, great producer and the pods look pretty cool, tastes really good and they have a great burn, definitely one to grow
