Exploring Descript: The pros and cons of my free trial experience so far

Unpacking a few thoughts here. Even as someone very comfortable editing in Adobe Premiere Pro, I can see a lot of value in Descript and the ability to just record directly from your computer and start editing immediately. I also like the one-click insertion of stock video included at no extra cost, the Overdub feature allowing me to change words that I misspoke, and the automatic removal of filler words (like "um" and "er").
The only thing holding me back is how buggy my experience has been. My Sony camera can no longer be used within the program, even after uninstalling and reinstalling Descript. I've seen lots of random error messages and have had some glitchy things happen in the UI. I'm hopeful that these will be addressed going forward, as it's still a fairly new version, but I want to see how the rest of my experience goes before making any financial commitment.
